About
About Stack & Scale
An independent publication for developers who want to understand their tools in depth and ship better software because of it.
Why we publish
The most useful engineering lessons usually live in someone's head, or in a postmortem nobody outside the company will read. Stack & Scale puts that knowledge on the page in a form you can use the same day: clear explanations, real code, and the trade-offs most tutorials skip.
Articles are written by engineers who build and run the systems they describe, then edited and reviewed before they're published.

Depth over hot takes
Every article explains how something works, when to use it, and what breaks in production.
Code you can run
Examples are complete and state their versions. If it wouldn't pass code review, it doesn't ship here.
Honest trade-offs
We show the costs, the failure modes, and when not to use a technique.
Respect for readers
No paywall and no pop-ups that block the article. Email is opt-in, and leaving takes one click.
